Site Engineer

Job description / Role

Ably Resources invite candidates to apply for a permanent opportunity with our Dubai based client who is undertaking a large hotel and mall project in Tehran.

As a member of the Post Contract Team the successful applicant will be carrying out the following roles and responsibilities:

Responsible for:
• Ensuring all technical documents of the project are recorded and maintained;
• Ensuring site safety standards are maintained;
• Day to day processing of information including RFIs, Submittals, shop drawings etc;
• Ensuring all elements of the projects are constructed in accordance with the contractual documents;
• Assisting Senior Engineers in providing details on site progress and details.

Key project roles and responsibilities:
• Responsible to the Project Manager/ Lead Engineer for successful delivery of the project including:
• Managing, reviewing and monitoring the actual performance of the structural and architectural elements during construction stage;
• Ensuring that the site works are carried out in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications;
• Ensuring current construction issue drawings are available at site and followed;
• Coordinating with the main contractor ;
• Monitoring and coordinating the sub-consultants’ drawing reviews;
• Reviewing submittals;
• Ensuring coordination of information between all parties;
• Monitoring the contractor’s daily site activities, including program, labour strength, safety etc;
• Resolving drawing coordination, site detailing and site construction methods on a day to day basis;
• Ensuring all inspections are carried out at a time requested by the contractor and recorded.

Requirements

The successful applicant must hold a Degree in Engineering and have extensive experience with as a Site Engineer with an Engineering Consultancy in the Middle East.

The company offer a tax free salary of AED15,000 per month + shared accommodation + flights back to country of origin each year.
