Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL Site Inspector - Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose: This assignment is for an 20 month duration in Dammam City to construct a Water Treatment Plant for Dammam Industrial City. The working week is 6 days Saturday through to Thursday.

Inspector of Works has deep knowledge of procedures and technical concepts within own area and understands regulations and standards for own area.

Job Responsibilities:
- Detailed supervision and check of the Contractors work as directed by the Project Manager.
- Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, or construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations.
- Keeping a detailed and neat diary of all major activities and all important observations on site and on other places where his presence in connection with the job is required.
- Preparation of a daily report to the PM on the contractors activities. The report shall be presented to the Resident Engineer at the end of each working day and normally before the Inspector leaves the construction site.
- Completion of the various forms, documenting the quality and progress of the various sections and areas of the construction work in accordance with the relevant supervision procedure.
- Reporting of all problems in connection with the civil works to the Resident Engineer.
- Deal with any other duties as may be assigned from time to time from the RE & ensure we meet HSE standards as set in accordance to company's policy.

Requirements

- Associates Degree or at least Diploma level (or equivalent) as a minimum educational qualification.
- 10 years experience as an inspector preferably in middle east
- Experience in the construction of Water and Wastewater treatment facilities and general infrastructure systems.
- Ability to read working drawings and related specifications, and should be able to suggest any changes if needed
- KSA experience is preferred
- English
- Excellent communication and report writing skills, and good presentation skills in English.
- Written and spoken Arabic skills are beneficial but not essential.
- Be enthusiastic about improving the safety performance of site operations.
- Be able to communicate effectively with site teams and motivate them to meet the project objectives.
