The Role


The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing vast investment in its social infrastructure as it strives to meet His Majesty King Abdullah's vision to constantly raise living standards. Atkins is positioned to play an important role, providing technical solutions to many of the challenges presented by this vital development programme

We require a Site Inspector to review supervise contractor work and ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Responsibilities

Supervision of Villas/buildings Type Civil works; And Infrastructure works.
Monitoring quality of works for conformance to contract documents, including specifications and drawings.
Ensuring relevant codes and local authority regulations are being complied with
Recording progress and documenting status of works daily.
Recording defective works and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
Inspect and supervise the works whilst providing necessary leadership to the contractor where required in order that the works are progresses in an efficient effective manner.
Examine and ensure testing of any materials that are incorporated within the works.
Monitor and record the contractors activities and highlight any deficiencies in terms of approved schedules
Ensure relevant Health and Safety procedures are being adhered to.
Follow up and ensure agreed QA/QC procedures are being adhered to by all parties and report any deficiencies
Verify that latest contract documents are being used for construction of the works
Attend as and when required regular progress and quality meetings.
Provide daily diary for all relevant activities occurring on site
Any other activities as required from time to time at the discretion of the Project or line manager.

An after high school diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
A minimum of (8) years experience of Civil Engineering out of which (3) years in site based jobs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills is essential
Relevant Middle East and Gulf experience
