Site Manager - Desalination Plant

Saudi Arabia has one of the fastest growing economies and with this comes increasing power & water demands.

This desalination project is the first of its kind in the region, part of the governments initiative and goal of developing the use of renewable energies. The purpose of the project is to provide desalinated water while cutting production costs and energy consumption.

The plant (30,000m2/d) will be powered by a 10 MW solar plant, using a new solar photovoltaic (PV) concentration technology.

Owners engineer position working for an established consultant. Construction will commence in 2015 for an anticipated 2 years.

Requirements

Candidates MUST have senior level (circa 20 years) experience in similar desalination construction projects in addition to:
- Degree qualified in suitable engineering discipline from reputable western university
-Excellent English communication skills (fluent reading/writing/speaking) are imperative
- Government visa restrictions dictate candidates should come from a project background in the UK/Ireland/Europe/USA/Australia with or looking for international experience

The project will be based in Khafji, Saudi Arabia, a neutral zone between Kuwait, offering easy access to metropolitan Kuwait.
