Job description / Role
Review the section planning, identify and allocate the required resources for its execution.
Ensure proper implementation of the planning at the level of each subsection in order to meet deadlines.
Check drawings and quantities and ensure that the calculations are accurate for the work.
Oversee the requisition of materials and equipments as well as their control at reception.
Provide relevant information about daily activities, priorities and changes to the concerned site engineer.
Supervise the work execution and manage the interaction between the field’s subsections based on job specifications and technical drawings.
Evaluate, select and adapt situations and coordinate with construction manager to modify techniques, procedures and criteria to solve problems encountered.
Coordinate with the concerned site engineer to assess any technical problems and point out the best solution to deal with it.
Ensure compliance with the project’s policies and procedures and other regulations (including quality and safety regulations).
Collect reports, job diaries and other required documentation from site engineersand prepare a progress report for the whole section.
Liaise with the client’s representatives and participate in meetings whenever necessary.
Check the QA/QC reports and identify the corrective actions that should be taken to solve identified deficiencies.
Resolving engineering queries with the construction manager and design engineers/consultants.
Requirements
A Mechanical Engineering Degree holder with 4-6 years of experience.
Good experience in the erection of HVAC and fire fighting; preferably in Gulf
