Site Quantity Surveyor (SQS)

1) Prepare progress invoices in coordination with project manger & site engineer based on contract agreement
2) Prepare Produce proper claims for variation order in coordination with Project Manager and site engineer.
3) Produce sufficient technical justification for any variation claims
4) Timely preparation of subcontractors and suppliers payment compliance with ISO 9001:2000 procedure
5) Site Visit to ensure progress is complying within claims and payment made according to agreement
6) Take necessary precaution to recover cost for any complication happens in future by retaining sufficient amount
7) Coordinate with main office QS for any justification required for timely reimburse of payment
8) Prepare / review detail Bill of Quantity (BoQ) of project prior to start up of project
9) Review Qty requested by Store keeper/Site engineer in internal supply order (ISO) and recommend to proceed further
10) Compare any qty claims / request with BoQ to prevent over payment
11) Prepare quality control log such as concrete log, soil test log etc and regular update with planning section
12) Supervise store keeper & time keeper for correct generation of data
13) Calculate quantities for any modification for variation claims
14) Oversee technical matters for material approval and backup project manager for necessary actions
15) Generate sufficient technical data for any changes incurred in site for further claims or analysis
16) Prepare bar bending schedule and concrete logs to ensure correct quantities requested for site
17) Working hours should starts upon official start timing (i.e. 6 AM) and end up as per closing of site depends on balance of works.
18) Performs other duties as per project manager instructions

Requirements

1. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil/Architectural) or equivalent.
2. Required language(s): Arabic, English
3. At least 2-5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
4. Ability to devise concise and effective quality procedures.
5. Ability to communicate well at all levels.
6. Able to work on own initiative, still supporting team goals and contributing to team motivation
