Site Senior GIS Technician

Job description / Role

We are currently searching for a Senior CAD/GIS Engineer to work on our King Abdullah Economic City Project in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jeddah.

The individuals will be required to administer the project GIS database managing, analysing, and visualizing the data associated with developing and recording site data. Using GIS software and able to conduct spatial analysis, overlay data, and integrate other solutions and modelling and mapping software and technology.

Technical Competencies / Responsibilities:
- Prepares architectural and design drawings and topographical maps used in civil engineering projects such as:
- Highways, bridges, pipelines, flood control projects, and water and sewerage control systems, public utilities facilities and buildings, etc.

Drafts plans and detailed drawings for:
- Structures, installations, and construction projects such as highways, sewage disposal systems, and drainage networks, working from sketches or notes.

Requirements

- Degree qualified - minimum requirement of BE (Civil) with 8 years post graduate experience
- An appropriate level of experience including a significant period of time working in a similar role
- Infrastructure construction experience
- Experience in modelling and mapping software and technology
- Excellent presentation skills
- Able to conduct spatial analysis, overlay data and convert between different mapping systems
- GCC and ME experience is preferred.
- Must have integrity and be able to demonstrate both drive and excellent organisational ability
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English essential. Arabic would also be advantageous.
- Excellent report writing skills
