The RoleThe RoleFAMCO Al-Futtaim Auto and Machinery Company, (Famco) is a member of the Al-Futtaim Group, one of the largest privately owned business houses in the lower Gulf. Famco's business covers the supply of products & services to a diverse range of industries and commercial undertakings covering transport, construction, manufacturing, warehousing and the marine sector. The Business Projects to be supervised are UAE based. Occasional travel to regional sites maybe required. Supervision of single or multiple sites will be required dependant on project values. Specific large projects may require more than 1 supervisor. The position is the primary point of contact with the customer and the incumbent must be capable to meet with clients on site and discuss progress and problem resolution. This position manages projects that are multi-disciplined, and, therefore, requires the incumbent to have knowledge across the product and industry range and the drive to learn further on the jobThe position requires a valid UAE driving licence to operate effectively. JOB PURPOSE (Overall Objective) Based in Dubai, UAE, and reporting to the Projects Engineer, this role entails the site based supervision of individual medium to large Industrial Storage and Materials Handling Projects. |
RequirementsRequirementsKey Duties and Responsibilities: Principal Accountabilities: Ensure that the product is installed on site as per design specifications and quality standards while adhering to all the agreed schedules and targets Product range includes, but not limited too, the full range of Dexion Racking products and Constructor Shelving and Storage systems The incumbent will be responsible for the successful installation phase of the project to which they are assigned This is a site based role and as such the incumbent will usually be the senior on site representative for the company Effectively coordinating on site activities while interfacing with the customer regularly, ensuring issues are resolved as they arise They will be the Face of FAMCO to our clients and must be well presented and possess excellent communication and people skills. Duties and Responsibilities Key to the position are ensuring: Site Safety Project Quality - Contracted Specifications Project Schedule Project Budget Qualifications & Experience: You will preferably hold a trade or degree qualification, in an engineering discipline You will be experienced in Industrial Storage and Materials Handling Equipment 5 years + experience within the field of Industrial Storage and Materials Handling based installation supervision You will have strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, planning and organising, team leadership, technical acumen You will have a good knowledge of Industrial Storage and Materials Handling systems You must have either a UAE or internationally transferable driving license You must be fluent in English |
