Job Purpose:
The Social Media Manager role sits within the within the Strategic Marketing team working for the Digital Marketing Manager. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for working collaboratively in partnership with GMASCO; editorial, PR and marketing teams to create long-term social media communication channels and engaging content for our business units and the automotive group. The incumbent will be required to be fluent in both English and Arabic.

Description
* Create first class social media marketing campaigns, integrated with online and offline media channels by Identifying key target audiences with a plan to reach them in the social media space.
* Work with key stakeholders to assess the performance of current social media platforms and the need to evolve or to develop new presences.
* Work collaboratively with the rest of the brand and media team to develop integrated communications plans, with a clear role for social media.
* Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include identifying and creating advocacy, writing editorial, creating content, driving conversions and increasing conversions.
* Link with editorial and PR teams to support discoverability and consumption of key campaigns and events, using paid support where appropriate to amplify key messages.
* Become the tone of voice for the business externally and build community engagement by adhering to the automotive group customer and associate brand values.
* Assist in conducting market research from a group level to assess consumer demand, brand positioning and consumer online behaviour.
* Manage multiple social media sites, such as; Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube - in addition to other similar community sites and seeding content into owned properties.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree - preferably in Marketing or Communications
Minimum Experience and Knowledge:  Minimum of 3 years in a Social Media Marketing role AND/OR hold a relevant degree.

Job-Specific Skills:
* Fluent English & Arabic essential.
* Broad and demonstrable experience of managing Social Media in a fast moving brand or brands.
* Community management experience for consumer-facing brands
* Proficient knowledge of the social CRM process with the confidence to manage this effectively.
* Knowledge of social media CMS tools and how to manage them effectively
* Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
* Strengths in collaboration and teamwork and ability to work with broad number of stakeholders
* Strong interest, understanding and passion for digital media generally and social media specifically
