The RoleThe Role Dynamic Work Environment Global provider of safety and security solutions Location: Darmstadt, Germany Our client, one of the fastest growing providers of public safety and security solutions globally, is looking to expand their team of professionals within their research and development centre in Germany. With long term career prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is seeking to appoint a Social Media and Analytics Architect to their Research and Development team, who will support the growth and development of their projects globally. Our client provides end to end solutions to its customers including project management and software intensive solutions as well as solutions for companies and public institutions. Reporting to the Chief Development Architect, the Social Media and Analytics Architect is responsible for the Social Analytics framework development and definition of the Command and Control platform. Your responsibilities in this role will include: Specialist/technical lead of R&D Social Analytics framework as part of the overall Architecture Interface with research and development; communicate to other board areas such as products, solutions and projects, pre-sales groups Work on several interdisciplinary projects (acts as a coach for the project) Act as the specialist for Social Media related topics ranging from architectures for User Interfaces to Social Analytics and Information Retrieval Contribute and take leadership on the Social Media aspects of the architecture Analysis of complex technical problems |
RequirementsRequirements Degree qualified in Computer Science or related field, with Masters degree being highly regarded Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position with deep experience in the different domains of Web 2.0 concepts such as folksonomies, crowdsourcing, information retrieval, social analysis Expert Knowledge of Social Media/Analytics technologies in order to apply to other domains such as C2 (Command & Control) User Interfaces (UIs). Solid knowledge of Wikis, Blogs, Syndication, Multimedia Sharing, Tagging, Trust & Privacy in Social Networks Ability to work on all aspects of architectural models with regards to Social Media/Analytics, translate and formalize this requirements into the development team R&D expertise in at least two of the 7 topics with regard to Web 2.0: Security, Mobile computing, Human computer interaction, information management, sensor networks, social networks, cyber physical systems Experience and familiarity with UML Architecture Modeling; Development; complex systems is highly regarded Excellent communication skills, across multiple disciplines at all organizational levels, including executive leadership International experience within a matrix organization in multicultural environments is highly regarded Fluent English, spoken and written.
