The RoleThe RoleOur Client currently has a vacancy for a Software Engineer. This opportunity requires a motivated team player who is logical, analytical and able to take initiative. The successful incumbent for this challenging position will be responsible for: Responsible for implementation and development of software products using C++. Responsible for interpreting software design by building code components. Assist with system requirements analysis, estimating software development effort, defining software requirements architecture, analysing software requirements into software design. Responsible for testing components as well as software integration and testing. Assist with software configuration management, quality assurance, corrective action, software reviews and software maintenance. Support System and Test Engineers with system integration and acceptance. Assist with setting up COTS cards (SBCs) and their BSPs. Assist with client training. Assist with evaluating candidate software. |
RequirementsRequirements• B.Eng (Electronic/Computer), S SC (Computer) or relevant equivalent • At least 3 years in a specialist software development environment using C++ • Experience in VxWorks, Windows NT/2000/XP operating systems • Experience in software development and coding, software specifications practices, software and hardware integration • Experience in GUI development and the Qt GUI framework would be an advantage • Experience in Linux would be an advantage • Experience with, and understanding of , digital electronics would be highly advantageous • Sound knowledge of UML and CASE tools would be an advantage |
