Job Overview:

A leading global Services Company in the Oil and Gas industry is seeking an Account Manager to lead, manage and drive all sales of their integrated Software Solutions & Services across the Kuweit region. You will define and implement effective strategies to achieve sales objectives. This is a senior level strategic position and the success applicant will have proven sales/business development experience and results, entrepreneurial and a strong sales methodology work practice. This country is highly lucrative for the Company and as such there is potential for high financial reward. Oil and Gas industry experience is desired but the key to this role is proven Sales Achievement. You will be fully support by oil and gas technical experts.

As such you will devise strategies that will support and drive software sales and associate consultancy services in both new and existing client accounts.

Responsibilities will be to:

Become knowledgeable in the Company’s technologies and services.
Build close relationships of trust with existing and potential clients across the assigned territory - be proactive in understanding client needs, priorities, challenges, constraints and market trends.
Be responsible for revenue of all software sales and consultancy services.
Devise and implement sales strategies that are highly revenue and margin target oriented. Monitor closely the sales pipeline for your region.
Provide accurate sales forecasting and effective
Liaise with senior level personnel in existing and new clients, understanding strengths and weaknesses of software offerings. Leverage these business opportunities.
Liaise with technical experts to assist you at client meetings.
Promote sales methodologies, policies and good practices.
Work closely with marketing personnel to raise the awareness of the Company’s solutions and reputation within your region. Be proactive in marketing at roadshows, exhibitions, conferences etc.

This is a senior level role, which will require a passion for driving software and consultancy sales to meet targets. The position offers a great deal of variety, autonomy and scope to drive business with a potential for high financial reward. Role offers great potential for career advancement working for a global service provider in the upstream oil and gas industry.

Requirements

Entrepreneurial individual with experience in a Sales/Business Development role essential.
Experience selling to the Oil and Gas Industry is advantageous but not essential – professional sales experience is vital.
Proven experience in consultative sales is essential – preferably of scientific software, IT or/and data management solutions.
Technical experience in Data Management is desired
Highly strategic – the ability to devise and implement sales strategies effectively to reach and exceed targets is key.
An assertive individual with the ability to engage with senior level personnel in small to major oil companies is key.
Entrepreneurial approach essential – ability to identify new clients - can leverage existing strengths and react and lead in dynamic market conditions.
The technical aptitude to grasp quickly the challenges and rewards of leading edge technologies and the ability to champion and influence sales of these technologies.
Highly methodical - ability to multi-task, prioritize with attention to detail but constantly paying attention to the bigger picture.
Excellent communications skills - you will liaise with senior level management and technical personnel to achieve results.
Personality and confidence to build strong relationships at all levels internally and externally to deliver results.
Ability to perform under pressure and to deliver results.
Ambitious with a keen drive to exceed expectations and develop ones career.
