Job description / Role
Our client, a big 4 management consulting company, is seeking to employ a Solution Architect with valuable project management experience of implementing fiber optic networks.
Concurrently manage the design and implementation of one or more fiber optic networks.
Serve as the liaison between the IT infrastructure team, operational departments, and other IT teams.
Support current systems, programs, equipment to provide operational integrity, security, and disaster recovery support and maintenance.
Interface with internal and external customers in developing short term project plans to align with long-term goals and priorities of the organization
Communicate company changes, news worthy company events, and relevant IT-related information.
Maintain project activities while leading infrastructure hardware and software implementation projects.
Providing technical leadership and guidance to the teams for project level architectures and design work
Co-team with the Technical Architect to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements
Creates and tracks project budgets in relationship to Network Operations.
Requirements
8-10 years experience in a solutions architect role with 2 implementation project management experience in fiber optic networks.
Must be conversant/have working knowledge of structured cabling, routing, switching, and IP protocols.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
At least 2 years of consulting experience
Strong written and communication skills
Ability to give clear and consistent instructions to team members.
Strong Presentation skills
High degree of initiative, dependability and the ability to manage a team of consultants.
Ability to effectively communicate and deal with both internal and external customers
