The Role


A Solution Engineer (SE), also known as a Presales Representative is an active participant in the application software sales cycle. The Solution Engineer will focus supporting of sales cycles in all segments of the market, hence also possibly the enablement of sales and implementation partners in this segment. SAP solution areas in scope are dominantly: Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Plant Maintenance, Mobile Asset Management.

• Present and demonstrate the value of SAP solutions to all levels at customer (or partner) side:
̶ Active participation in any of the following: site survey, strategy sessions, value based product presentations or demonstrations, and after sale transition to consulting services
̶ Ability to demonstrate the value of the solution (not just demonstrate the functionality), and the ability to build a strong working relationship with both the prospect and internal sales team
̶ Ability to communicate business requirements to project / implementation team after completion of sale to ensure a smooth transition from presales to implementation stages, warranting a continuous degree of customer satisfaction
• Support all stages of a sales cycle to generate leads and sales
̶ Active participation in sales processes (like participation in demand discovery sessions, marketing events, customer workshops, etc.) to demonstrate the value of SAP solutions to our customers and partners
̶ Initiate and drive in finding new ways to position EAM, PM Solutions, including partner enablement
̶ Perform SAP’s administrative and networking activities in support of the sales force
• Coordinate additional presales activities
̶ Drive go-to-market strategies and execution for selected and targeted solutions
̶ Support in (in and external) knowledge transfer
• Possess strong understanding and deep functional expertise with (SAP’s) EAM, PM business applications, willingness and ability to acquire deep SAP knowledge
• Possess strong skills around presales and selling remotely (conference call and/or webex demonstrations / presentations
• Possess strong sense of teamwork, integrity, self motivation, positive attitude, and works to solve problems

INTERACTION
• Heavy interaction and effective communication required with Solution Engineers in the Middle East North Africa Region - in support of Large Enterprise and Small, Medium Sized Sales Executives and Sales Management
• Lateral interaction with groups in Solution Engineering teams in KSA, UAE and Egypt for purposes of knowledge sharing, training of team members and aligning with the goals of this organization

OPERATE
• Ensure execution of best practice value- and business requirements practices
• Ensure implementation of best practices for demo development, and demo delivery, according to value based practices
• Kingdom of Saudi Arabia based working-hours, primarily out of Riyadh

- Bachelor degree; Master equivalent would be a plus

WORK EXPERIENCE
• Advanced knowledge in Warehouse Distribution and Retail
• 5 + years of professional experience
• 5 + years applications and presales experience
• OR 5 + years of SAP product implementation experience
• OR 5 + years of SAP partner (enablement) experience
• 100% remote selling (site surveys, demo’s, meetings)
• Strong English and Arabic speaking skills
