Solutions Architect - Advanced Infrastructure

Job description / Role

As a Solutions Architect - Advanced Infrastructure you are the key person responsible for managing the development of a systems solution, monitoring it and ensuring that it is implemented successfully. In addition to product specialist responsibilities, you must have broad product knowledge and technology skill-set and be able to focus on a particular area of technology and its associated products.

What we will expect you to do:
- You will be the key person responsible for working closely with the client and collaborating with our technical teams, particularly project managers, to determine outsourcing, product pricing and develop the overall implementation solution plan
- We will expect you to achieve product sales to meet financial goals and be responsible for guiding the sales team to close their deals, as well as being able to maintain forecasting and the sales pipeline to influence future deals
- An important part of the job is to maintain strong vendor relationships in order to understand their business and positioning in the marketplace
- We will expect you to manage customer proof of concept initiatives such as ensuring the correct resources are being used, managing the set-up and delivery

Requirements

- Experience in Data Centre Infrastructure solution offering - lets say about 5 to 10 years; at least 1 year of experience working in the UAE or Middle East region.
- A degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or diploma.
- Should obtain various certifications from within the Data Centre Infrastructure field.
- Sound knowledge of DCI products such as UPS, cooling units, chillers, batteries & DICM etc...
- Good English language skills
- Arabic speakers are preferred.

- Able to have analytical and consulting capabilities and be good at solving problems because we need you to act as the visionary and strategist for a solution product area
- Able to collaborate and communicate ideas to team members, clients and vendors in order to lead, take ownership and manage the implementation of a solution
- We need you to mentor and guide the sales team, engineers and consultants in their product knowledge, as well as product support and product specialist team members
- It is important to us that you keep abreast of market trends and survey the marketplace for solution insights, new vendors and methods
