Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

My client a global ICT leader is currently undergoing progressive changes and expansion and looking to hire a dynamic Solutions Architect to provide ongoing consultative support and technical expertise in Pre Sales solutions.

ROLE:
- Gathers information from customer about their existing ICT infrastructure and conducts the necessary analysis.
- Creates demand on customers side for products and services.
- Identifies and confirms customers current and future business initiatives and needs with respect to technical requirements.
- Ensures that information on existing products and services is available by interfacing with Product Marketing, Product Development and IT Solutions.
- Develops winning proposals for customer requirements/RFPs, working closely with the Legal function, Sales Manager, Product marketing and vendor partners.
- Communicates with respective stakeholders to understand customers history, competitive environment, planned strategy, tactics and other related activities.
- Provides technical support/advice on the development of proposals, bids and solution selling.
- Assesses price, performance and quality relationships for each solution as well as its total cost of use for all current, past and future solutions
- Compares possible solutions with competitors solutions in terms of price, quality and performance and prepares supporting arguments for presentation and negotiation with customer.
- Provides technical advice to Sales and gives technical direction, guidance and higher level technical support to team members.
- Researches software and hardware products or services, and finds best solutions and prices to meet business requirements. Subsequently, present and translate the design to customers to ensure the solution will meet the customers' requirements.
- Presents the company in technical and marketing events working closely with product marketing to present company products and services
- Identifies current and future opportunities for cross and up-selling and proposes them to Sales.
- Carries out effective customer presentations to present solutions proposed.
- Supports Professional Services and Project Management teams and contracts in developing project plans, negotiating and drafting scope of work and contract documents.
- Develops training and Conducts training sessions to sales on Services and products.

Requirements

- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Willingness to travel to client locations (up to 50%)
- Ability to understand the business requirements and converting them into solution designs
- Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering software that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities
- Should have participated in, and be familiar with project management methodology and practices
- Must maintain professional knowledge and relationships with the Salesforce.com ecosystem
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in professional services, sales or customer support operations
- 2-3 years of Salesforce.com systems integration and/or implementation experience
- Proven Solutions consulting experience in large enterprises\complex solutions

TECHNICAL SKILL SET:
- Advanced experience of pre sales within an ICT vendor, systems integrator or IT Services organisation.
- Must have taken part and handled large scale complex deals.
- Must have excellent knowledge of solution design and high end pre sales activities.
- Strong knowledge and subject matter expert on some of the following; Networking, Data Centres, Security, IP Telephony and voice solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
