Employment: Full Time

On behalf of one of the fastest-growing global pharmaceutical companies worldwide we are seeking a Sourcing Category Manager. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Sourcing.
This position will be based in Saudi Arabia and the main job purpose for the Sourcing Category Manager (SCM) will be to plan and lead category initiatives at a country level. The SCM leads sourcing projects, productivity and demand management activities, category specific supplier performance and compliance as per company’s guidelines. Major accountabilities will be to:
• Develop category strategies for the assigned categories, implement and create value in the country in co-operation with regional global category leaders.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the local supply market over various categories of spend continuously analyzes spend and updates and maintains market knowledge.
• Accountable for the delivery of Country Category targets. Ensuring the best price is negotiated and obtained for the major purchases.
• Specifically prepares suppliers (price, quality, conditions) in collaboration with requesting department negotiates contracts with legal team and oversees the administrative flow of the category purchasing process.
• Responsible for ensuring country level issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner for the relevant categories.
• Proactively manage relationship with key stakeholders.
• Participate at early stage in budgeting process and have full access to the business requirements to make sure integration into category strategy.
• Effectively manage supplier performance and innovation including supplier’s segmentation, relationships management and establishing innovation agenda manage their performance.
• Responsible for monitoring compliance and adherence to company’s Procurement policies and procedures achievement of savings targets as well as Increase procurement effectiveness through process improvement and productivity.
• Share of volume through eSourcing. Availability of up-to date reports.
• Supplier Performance and compliance with mandated processes and guidelines.
• Contributes to implementing the Global Category Strategy at a local level. Moderate financial impact in terms of savings generation.

Requirements

Skills
• Ideally a Bachelor degree, CIPS or similar qualification desirable.
• 5 Years of Procurement experience with multi-category management responsibilities.
• Leadership experience
• Project leadership
• Functional experience in Category Management Process, systems and compliance management, demand management and Legal Contracting.
• Negotiation and Change management
