Sourcing Manager - Indirect Materials - Gulf Region
A well-known multinational company is looking to hire Sourcing Manager for the Gulf region to manage the suppliers, delivering sourcing activities against the sourcing categories of the company. This role is part of the Global Sourcing team, reports to the Head of Sourcing – Middle East & Africa and based in Dubai
Responsibilities:
• Managing projects such as travel, HR, professional services and IT Services.
• Need to work locally or regionally, remotely. Minimal travel required.
• Manage spend of approximately $ 25 million p.a.
• To establish Global Sourcing function in the Gulf region as per the direction from the Sourcing Head-MEA and achieve value to the organization.
• To build and maintain internal customer relationship and win internal support for the benefit of the business, value adds.
• To develop, manage and measure supplier relationships.
• To deliver sourcing projects which are capital based or cost/recurring spend categories.
• To apply strategic sourcing practices and manage supplier negotiations to ensure that full benefits are realized and sustained.
• To achieve targeted results, importantly cost savings.
• To ensure effective transition from current practices to any new model including migration to Sourcing systems, tools, process and guidelines.
• To ensure that processes and communications channels exist in order to maximize the effectiveness of the delivery and implementations of any sourcing negotiations or projects.
• To maintain, and present to manager, intelligence and market analysis regarding product and service development opportunities.
Requirements
Skills and Qualification:
• Bachelors/ Master’s degree.
• 5 - 8 years of Sourcing & Procurement experience in a multinational organization, with knowledge on local compliance, requirements, suppliers, governance, policies etc in Gulf and MEA region.
• Language: English fluent, Arabic a strong plus, any other language an asset
• Preferable - not mandatory: Sourcing & Procurement related Certification or Courses from any Sourcing & Procurement professional institutions (ex. ISM, CIPS).
