Job description / Role
Subject matter expert on processes within account and wealth services, To work with the Change team on re-engineering, lean and other process improvement projects, To drive the implementation of agreed changes within the unit working with production managers, Identify opportunities for system enhancements and initiate SERs and system projects, Work with the systems project teams as SER arranging UAT, test scripts, amending processes etc..
Keep policies and procedures updated in line with process and system change, Develop MIS to support the operations of AWS in response to needs identified from production managers.
To act as a reference point for the processes within AWS. To understand not just what the process says, but why it says it. (This requires a knowledge of the regulatory, legal and technical environment in which the process operates)
To act as an interface between AWS and the functions of the bank (Compliance, IT, Risk) in answering process queries.
To represent AWS in cross functional working groups on bank wide initiatives that impact the processes or systems used within AWS.
To identify opportunities for system or process change that will improve service and/or increase efficiency and / or reduce risk.
To manage the development and delivery of these opportunities.
To manage the SER process for AWS ensuring that all system changes identified are translated into business requirements, are raised as SERS and are prioritized correctly.
To manage the UAT process for technology changes impacting AWS. To develop test scripts, organize testing resource, develop a testing plan and ensure that testing is undertaken according to the plan.
To manage the implementation of process and system change within AWS.
To develop implementation plans, organize and deliver training, ensure changes are clearly communicated to impacted staff, develop plans to address impacts to production and amend SOPs to reflect the changes.
To ensure that team leaders and managers within AWS are fully prepared for the change, understand the need for the change and the benefit arising from it and have planned for the impact of the change both short and long term.
To ensure that benefits from the change are fully realized (including any headcount reductions arising from efficiency gains).
To identify opportunities for enhancing MIS to enable managers within AWS to improve service, reduce risk or increase efficiency.
To integrate AWS MIS within the ITMAM MIS portal.
To support the Head of AWS by undertaking root cause analysis of any issues that have arisen.
To support the Head of AWS by undertaking ad hoc projects that arise.
Requirements
Graduate Preferably Industrial Engineer or Business Administration or Equivalent .
Presentation and communication, Effective listening, Knowledge of process improvement principles and tools (selection, application, and training).
Conflict management, Decision-making and consensus building, Establishing goals and objectives, Meeting management skills, Assessment and analysis skills (team dynamics, processes, problems, etc.).
Project management and event planning (including team/project chartering), Time management, Data collection, Process benchmarking.
4-5 years experience in banking with a well established and recognized financial institutions.
