Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The candidate will be working with the Audit team and will be a professional with strong experience; primarily responsible to investigate fraud and expsoure to fraud and abuse of corporate resources.

Functions will include but not be limited to:
- Perform objective assessment of fraud risks and Corporations vulnerability to those risks and recommend ways to mitigate those risks.
- Perform and implement fraud prevention programs.
- Continuous monitoring and detection of fraudulent activities.
- Perform ongoing review of adequacy and effectiveness of Internal Controls to prevent and detect frauds.
- Collaborate with legal authorities and local administration for satisfactory resolution of fraud matters.
- Liaison with internal and external auditors and with the regional and head office management.
- Assessment and enhancement of procedures for monitoring and detection of fraud and organizations response mechanism following detection of potential fraud.
- Perform management reviews as advised by the executive management of the Corporation.

Requirements

- Applicants with Telecommunications Sector will be given an added advantage.
- Educational and experience requirements and other competencies:
- Should have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Commerce, Law or related disciplines
- Qualified Chartered Accountant from a recognized accounting body
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation
- Masters degree, CIA and/or CISA designation, or Computer Forensic qualification would be an added advantage
- Over 5 years experience in the audit of large organizations, preferably in the Fraud & Forensic assurance section of Big 4 audit firms, out of which at least 2 years must be in a supervisory capacity
- Should have an investigative mindset, an eye for details and a professional and personable demeanor
- Ability to respond to crisis situations quickly and confidentially
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Be able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Professional skepticism mindset, sharp analytical and conclusion drawing skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of accounting and internal control systems, legal and regulatory requirements and standard industry practices.
