Employment: Full Time

The Specialist - IT PMO Tools & Software is accountable for supporting, maintaining and improving the enterprise wide strategic solution for Project Portfolio Management at Sidra. This position also provides support to the ITPMO management by enforcing the Portfolio Management governance processes - identifying, selecting, prioritizing and evaluating projects through PPM solution in alignment with Sidra objectives.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- The Specialist IT PMO Tools & Software enhances team collaboration and management efficiency with the deployment and support of the organizational wide automated PMO tools and softwares like Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Solution
- Researches for best practices and innovations in the Project Portfolio Management domain and incorporates those learning in the process and PPM tool
- Acts as single focal point for internal and external stakeholders for all automated PMO systems.
- Acts as subject matter expert for strategic PPM solutions and responds to all business queries in this regard
- Assists in selecting appropriate tools and software required for the organization specially for project management
- Applies knowledge of the customer's functions and processes to develop business requirement documents. Assesses the benefits of recommended solutions
- Expresses technical and business concepts, ideas, opinions, and conclusions orally and in writing.
- Defines the business unit's needs and translates needs into IT specific requirements
- Makes configuration changes to address new requirements (e.g., create project detail pages, develop reports, configure workflows, custom development, create changes to templates, etc.)
- Ensures the tool is being utilized optimally, resources have the knowledge to use the tool and the information in the tool is relevant
- Supports and provides tool support to ITPMO resources and other business stakeholders involved in the delivery of projects
- Automates project methodology, processes and templates
- Contributes in procuring the tools and software
- Coordinates with external vendors to provide support services required for the tools and software procured for the organization
- Implements and maintains the tools and software. Provides guidance in choosing and using the best tools available in the market to serve the purpose of the organization
- Generates views, reports, executive dashboards and general reports to support Project and Portfolio Management
- Imparts training to support users on the deployed project tools and software
- Performs administrative and daily activities to ensure software is optimally utilized by the users
- Solves or facilitates resolution of any issue related to assigned tools
- Enhances solution usage or manages development internally or through third-party
- Troubleshoots and resolves system issues or coordinates with support vendor to get this done
- Performs or coordinates with IT Ops team for system upgrades as required
- Performs daily support activities as application administrator. Responsible for regular updates to be done as required
- Adheres to Sidras standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra during this pre-operational phase, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in a related field
- 10+ years experience in an IT environment;
- 5+ years of experience in:
- Managing PPM solution like CA Clarity, Changepoint, HP PPM etc. in medium to large scale environment.
- Requirement gathering, configuring and improving PPM solution.
- Performing daily support activities for wide user base.
- PPM Tool Certification (or attended certified PPM course in case product vendor doesnt have certification yet)
- Effective verbal and written communication on all levels and both internally and externally
- Self-motivated, quick learner, organized, process-oriented, multi-tasker
- Prioritizes workload and meets deadlines
- Demonstrates initiative with a results orientation, while exhibiting strong drive and continuous improvement skills
