Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- An Internist provides nonsurgical treatment for diseases and injuries of internal organ systems according to the approved previleges.
- Provides care mainly for adults who have a wide range of problems associated with the internal organs
- Diagnoses and treats diseases.
- Prepares and reviews case histories and clinical records.
- Performs and directs diagnostic procedures, including X-ray examination and clinical laboratory tests.
- Interprets test results examination findings.
- Prescribes such treatment for internal diseases as drugs, physical therapy, and dietary regimens.
- Monitor patients condition and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.
- Refer patient to other specialists when necessary.
- Provide consulting services to other physicians.
- Holds clinics according to duty rota
- Performs rounds in the wards.
- To attend calls from ER and to come to the hospital to examine the patients & provide appropriate treatments, when On Call.
- Follows policies and procedure for infection control and facility safety in accordance to hospital guidelines.
- Exercises and maintains good discipline.
- Maintains good relationship with the other departments and colleagues
- Participates in medical conferences and meetings inside and outside Al Noor Hospital.
- Attends and organizes CME
- Develop a personal program of self study and professional growth with guidance from the medical staff.
- Actively participate in Hospital committees and task forces as assigned by the Medical Director
- Continuously adhere to Al Noor Hospital Dress and Grooming Policy for medical professionals.
- Accept temporary duty assignments as directed by Medical Director.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Take reasonable care of your own health and safety;
- Take reasonable care of the health and safety of persons and the enviornment that may be affected by your acts or omissions at work;
- Cooperate with Hospital Management with respect to any action taken by the Al Noor Hospital management to comply with EHSMS requirements.
- Report to your immediate supervisor any situation which could present a hazard and which they you cannot themselves correct;
- Report all EHS incidents and work-related injuries; and notify supervisor or department safety representative/coordinator of any hazards, mishaps or incident reporting procedure.
- Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided at the workplace in the interest of health, safety, welfare or protection or management of environment
- Familiarize yourself with all EHSMS policies, standards and procedures that are relevant for your workplace and ensure compliance with all its requirements
- Attend departmental safety training (where applicable) and follow EHSMS policies and procedures.

Requirements

- Masters Degree
- Minimum Five (5) years of experience in a hospital or Clinic setting.
- Specialist knowledge: Internal Medicine
- Soft Skills and Personality traits: Very good Communication skills.
- Knowledge of working with a computer
