Employment: Full Time

The Specialist - Onboarding Program ensures the smooth and efficient onboarding process of new hires as well as an excellent onboarding experience. He/ She provides service and support to ensure Sidras new employees are fully oriented to the organization, their individual units and life in Qatar in a timely and consistent manner so that new employees feel confident in the process. The Specialist - Onboarding Program also assists with the onboarding program facilitation.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provides high level support in the design, development and implementation of onboarding initiatives that align with Sidras workforce strategy and goals.
- Provides high level support to the Manager in regard to maintaining effective relationships with internal and external departments/vendors for smooth onboarding of their new hires.
- Supports the development and effective implementation of any related onboarding policies and procedures to ensure a consistent approach.
- Assists in reviewing processes associated with onboarding for improvement and efficiency.
- Assists the Onboarding Manager in the overseeing of team operations to ensure the activities are completed within service level agreements.
- Implements effective systems within the department for communication, collaboration and liaison to ensure strong professional relationships within and across work teams and departments.
- Assists in organizing and delegating team workload
- Monitors the consistency of the onboarding experience of all new hires
- Uses the information and data effectively to ensure high level reports are provided regularly to the Manager.
- Contributes to the implementation of effective onboarding activities, record keeping and provides regular reports to the Manager related to new hires orientation activity and satisfaction surveys
- Assesses the utilization of technology to streamline processes and makes recommendations for process improvements
- Ensures all communications necessary to new hires are delivered to related parties in a timely manner.
- Contributes to the implementation of all administration activities related to onboarding, including new hires registration, facility bookings and program evaluation.
- Contributes to the evaluation of the effectiveness of vendor based learning programs including the performance of vendor trainers.
- Assists Manager in leading program planning, facilitation and presentation.
- Ensures business process owned deliverables are completed and open items are closed in a timely manner.
- Integrates with the other Sidra work streams (relocation, IT, Communication, Facilities...etc) for the smooth operation of the onboarding process.
- Escalates issues in a timely manner to the HR Onboarding Manager for resolution.
- Contributes to the culture of continuous improvement within the team and ensures the highest level of teamwork.
- Receives and responds to issues relevant to the onboarding programs and orientation process.
- Assists with other projects and processes that will create positive and efficient experiences for new hires including providing support to Onboarding Coordinator/s in terms of activity coordination, follow up, logistic preparations, orientation arrangements etc. as required.
- Adheres to Sidras standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra during this pre-operational phase, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary

Requirements

- Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, Hospitality or related field.
- 5+ years in a team leader role in HR/Relocation, Logistics and Hospitality or in any other relevant support function.
- Knowledge of Middle East and GCC culture and aspects of life in Qatar.
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, complex deadline environment with competing priorities.
- Experience with HRIS/ERP systems is a must.
- Professional knowledge and technical ability to analyze, design, and implement processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to think proactively, creatively, strategically, and independently.
- Solid problem solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships requiring a high level of poise, trust, and integrity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral fluency in English
