Employment: Full Time

The Specialist - Training & Support is responsible for providing on the job training for Revenue Cycle staff. In addition, the specialist provides special training to other hospital staff involved in patient billing and related activities. The specialist is responsible for preparing and producing training materials in multiple formats and organizing the logistics of the training function.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develops and maintains Revenue Cycle training operations.
Maintains competency logs of all mandatory and non-mandatory staff training.
Develops training materials and arranges logistics for training.
Reviews, on regular basis, revenue cycle KPIs, adverse events and error reports to identify areas for training and retraining and develops and implements proper training programs accordingly.
Identifies additional areas for training based on feedback from the revenue cycle team and other staff.
Provides on the job training and support to all Revenue Cycle staff.
Participates in the hospital-wide training function to cover areas related to revenue cycle and patient billing.
Collaborates with staff in patient access and medical informatics to synchronize training operations and requirements.
Prepares patient and family informational material regarding insurance and billing.
Prepares special training materials and conducts training, as needed, to address changes in insurance laws, insurance plans or other internal policy changes
Participates in the review of revenue cycle policies, manuals, guidelines and other documents to ensure concurrence with offered training content. Adheres to Sidras standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.
Performs other duties as assigned by line manager.

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra during this pre-operational phase, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree - finance, health information management, healthcare or a related field
- 5+ years experience in electronic healthcare revenue cycle with at least 2 years in revenue cycle training or education role
- Must have Healthcare revenue cycle experience
- Must have knowledge of health insurance
- Must have knowledge in Electronic billing
- Has training and education skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Fluent in written and spoken English
