Job description / Role
My client, a well established and diversified business group specialising particularly in real estate development, infrastructure, contracting, building solutions and industrial works across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
They are looking for a Specification Engineer and expect all applicants to carry out the following role:
- Design drywall/ceiling systems as per the requirement of the project
- Prepare reengineered proposal in compliance with the best engineering practices
- Preparing material and cost breakdown sheet
- Provide technical support to project executive related to specifications of drywall system
- Communication with the consultants, architects, contractors regarding technical issues - product specification, fire protection, sound insulation, specifications of partitions, systems, etc.
- Collect market information in all segments of the projects to identify latest trends
- Monthly update of project status reports and change orders
Requirements
All candidates must have the following skills and experience:
Qualifications:
- BSc (or equivalent) in Engineering or similar
- Excellent hands on knowledge of drywall system and gypsum
- At least 3 years experience preferably as a specification engineer
Other skills:
- Communicative and open minded
- Structured thought process and analytical approach
- Strong affinity to technical products and hands on mentality
