Specification Manager / Technical Sales Manager

Job description / Role

Allen & York are currently looking to appoint an experienced Specification Manager/Technical Sales Manager for the Middle East operations of an international manufacturer of water drainage, pressure, plumbing and water management products reporting into the Regional Director for the UAE.

After a very successful 2014 and resulting continued expansion, there is a need to appoint a dedicated Specification Manager/Technical Sales Manager to lead the development of close relationships with key consulting clients and MEP contractors.

Responsibilities include generation and management of specifications and product sales within the GCC markets to pre-determined sales targets and budgets. Development of close working relationships with customer base, focused on work with Clients & Specifiers, Developers, Consultants in particular, utilising agreed sales-techniques and approach.

Requirements

- Middle East experience is essential, with strong understanding of local construction / building / infrastructure design and practices, together with several years experience of living/working in the region.
- Mechanical Engineer qualification or similar suitable professional qualification preferable
- Knowledge of industry standards and design criteria
- Past experience in dealing with MEP Consultants and MEP contractors at a senior level
- Have existing MEP Consultant and MEP contractor relationships a preferable
- Ability to work as part of a team, be motivational, as well as being self-motivated
- Ability to monitor own performance and take appropriate action to maximise outputs#
- Essential to understand and be prepared to actively track projects from concept to construction stage, within agreed criteria with Regional Director
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
- Computer literate, competent in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Time management skills
- Flexibility relative to on-going business needs
- Valid UAE driving license
