Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

STR Global is recruiting for an experienced Senior Construction Engineer to work in Saudi Arabia.

Candidate will be working on an expansion program within the Refinery business including brownfield extension and integration to aid the upgrade for clean fuels.

Responsibilities include:

Developing a plan of construction operation

Review project design drawings and plans

Review cost estimates covering construction, labour, equipment, and materials

Carry out critical analysis of detailed construction schedules including manpower and

Responsibility to meet job managers, contractor job supervisors, assigned construction engineers, and any others involved in the project, to define and discuss the construction plan, performance requirements and solutions

Tour the project frequently to observe work progress, investigating any evidence of substandard job performance, deviations from design specifications or construction schedules, determining the causes of such circumstances and initiating and following up any corrective action.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have the following criteria:

Hold an Engineering Degree and at least 10 years of experience in construction engineering within the oil and gas industry.

Excellent project management skills and experience, having managed a number of projects from the design stage through completion, including cost control and cost estimating.

Construction project management experience within the petrochemicals industry.

Excellent English communication skills.

The role is on rotation cycle of 8/3.
