Job description / Role
Key responsibilities include:
•Leading the development and delivery of a communications strategy for all companies
•Overseeing and developing strategic PR campaigns;
•Assisting, planning and coordinating events
•Developing a public relations program for all companies based on their marketing goals.
•Writing and editing press releases, articles, official press statements, speeches, identifying news opportunities from available sources to maximize media coverage for the brands.
•Handle the PR aspect of a possible crisis situation.
•Developing press release concepts and storylines that is creative yet informative in copy and a style to maximize and capture coverage from journalists/editors.
•Overseeing the execution of the social media strategy for each company, as part of the marketing team.
•Contributing to defining policy and procedures for managing the social media platforms, communication and reporting.
Requirements
Skills The successful candidate will have:
•an Undergraduate qualification in Marketing or Public Relations
•at least 3-5 years of solid professional experience in communications and/or public relations, working either in-house or with a PR Agency.
•Existing good media relationships
•Superb English verbal and written communications skills
•Excellent public relations writing skills – ability to write succinctly and use AP style.
•Experience in Digital and social media/programs.
•A strong personal network of writers, bloggers and publishers a plus.
•Attention to detail
•Ability to handle multiple assignments/projects
• Arabic language is a bonus.
•Experience working with cross-functional teams and strong team player
