The RoleThe RoleMaintenance and inspection of all HSE equipment including fire equipment, breathing air equipment, portable gas detectors, vehicles and mobile equipment. - Assist in the provision of HSE related training including Site Orientation, Safety Watch Training, Fire Extinguisher, Breathing Apparatus and Authorized Gas Detector. - Assist in coordination and implementation of safety watch requirements. - Assist with site safety observation and compliance monitoring. - Maintain appropriate records and documentation processes within company database systems. - Act as authorized Radiation Protection Supervisor for the Safety section. - Participate in Emergency Response Team as per protocols. - Operate a company vehicle for transportation of equipment and personnel. - Perform duties as required on an on call basis outside of regular working hours. |
RequirementsRequirementsEducation: Technical diploma in Instrumentation or related field Nebosh Certificate or equivalent Experience: 5 years experience as a Fire and Safety Technician in a Petrochemical environment Experience in conducting Fire and Safety training. Other, job related requirements: Must be fluent speaking, reading and writing in English. Must be computer literate and competent in Microsoft Word and Excel. |
