Job description / Role
A Leading Media company is looking for Senior Front End Developer / Sr.Web Developer to be part of their extensive growth.(Arab speakers only)
Responsibilities:
• Clean code Writing , Maintaining and following company front-end programming practices;
• Assisting designers and other front-end developers in finding solutions for various platforms for the desktop and mobile websites while conducting active research and development;
• Create front-end unit tests to help test projects and maintain high quality code;
• Plan and achieve goals to help improve the performance and quality of all of our sites across multiple platforms;
• Work within a team on specific development and maintenance projects.
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
• Excellent exposure to HTML/XHTML;
• Well versed with CSS, and know all the little tricks needed to get IE to display things properly (including IE6);
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Framework, writing CSS
• Strive on writing clean proper code that is readable and easy to de-code;
• Familiar with the W3C Web Standard Guidelines and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines;
• Photoshop mock-up of a site layout and should be able to write the HTML/CSS to actually implement it;
• Understand how to do the same thing with raw JavaScript;
• Knowledge of a modern programming language like PHP, Python etc.;
• Prior experience with mobile web-design.
• Must be fluent in Arabic and English
• Knowing what is new/different in CSS3 and HTML5 compared to CSS2.1 and XHTML;
• Graphic design skills;
• Knowledge of version-control systems like SVN or GIT;
• Experience using any kind of templating language/engine like PHP's Smarty or Django's template-tags
