Description and Desired Qualifications

Sr. Mechanical Static Engineer - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Purpose:

Sr. Mechanical Static Engineer who will carry out the FEED and detailed design engineering independently for static equipment / packages.

Job Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

To be the Project Lead Static engineer independently leading a medium to large scale project (FEED, Detailed Design etc.)
Scope Review, FEED endorsement; Equipment selection report
Project manpower planning and scheduling
Review and provide mechanical input to PFD'S, P&ID's, Material selection
Preparation of data sheets, specification and material requisition for mechanical static equipment such as columns, reactors, vessels, drums, heat exchangers, separators, boilers, tanks etc..
Fully Conversant with International codes like ASME, API, BS etc.
Design Calculations as per code
MTO / BOQ
Technical evaluation of Vendor offers, Attend Vendor meetings
Vendor drawing review, Reply to Vendor queries, follow up with Vendors etc.Will carry out the detailed Tank Design and Engineering drawings/drafting

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Key qualifications of this position includes:

Job Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Fifteen (15) years of Static Equipment Design experience
Previous Design experience in engineering consultancy or EPC Company.
Worked on Pressure vessel design software's such as Pv-Elite, Compress etc.
Work Independently producing good quality deliverables within man-hour budgets
Good Communication skills are required
Good Client / PMC Interaction and Co-ordination are required
