Job description / Role
JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure assigned maintenance work is performed with required quality and with no incidents or harm to the environment or people.
Execution of all mechanical maintenance activities and assigned projects on time to support the plant production levels.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Safety, Quality & Environment
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental
management procedures and controls within a defined area of the Mechanical
activity to ensure safety, delivery of high quality maintenance works in a
responsible environmental attitude.
Section Management
Perform and if required Supervise the day-to-day Field Maintenance
operations, ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and
comply with established standards and procedures, ensure personnel assigned
below him are performing the work to the required quality and safety shutdowns and turnarounds.
Perform and if required Supervise ORYX GTLs shutdowns, turnarounds and
emergencies as required to ensure adherence to the well being of ORYX GTLs
assets.
Preventative Maintenance
Ensure the effective troubleshooting of problems as required in order to avoid
major escalations at any given instance.
Ensure that the Mechanical maintenance works on Oryx GTLs assets, are
carried out in due diligence, as required to ensure minimum disruptions with
regard to machine / Mechanical breakdowns. Meet the set KPI Targets
Managing the assigned KPI of Mechanical Area to ensure that his Supervisors
KPI objectives are met.
Integrity of Mechanical Equipment
Identification of necessary Materials, Spares and External Services in order to
execute tasks in an effective manner.
Management Reporting & Adhoc Project Representation
Ensure ongoing reporting (including MIS) to superiors in order to keep them
abreast with regard to the Mechanical Maintenance process, as requested.
Support on demand Mechanical Maintenance related initiatives in order to
ensure various ad-hoc requirements foreseen by ORYX GTL are met.
Provide field support to the new / old projects as required and assigned
Budgeting & Cost Control
Assist the Section Supervisor to identify potential performance improvement
opportunities to reduce / optimise cost.
Departmental Policies & Procedures
Abide with the implementation of operational policies, procedures and controls
covering all areas of the Mechanical Maintenance activity so that all relevant
procedural requirements are fulfilled while performing the works.
Ensure all the documents are as per the IMS standards
Continuous Improvement
Assist the Area Supervisor in the identification of opportunities for continuous
improvement of section systems, processes and practices taking into account
international best practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction
and productivity improvement.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Safety ---- Zero Harm policy. Ensure Static Section fully commits
Production Volume --- Support 100% production volumes by reducing the exposure due to
Maintenance Bad Actors.
Environment-- No incidents during the performance of Maintenance work.
Effectively execute shutdowns within schedule as planned.
Requirements
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION :
College Diploma Mechanical Engineering
EXPERIENCE:
- Years of Experience Type of Experience Required/Preferred
- 8-10 Operations - Mechanical Maintenance within a reputed process plant within the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical industries required.
- Any experience in equipments ranging from Reactors, Reformers, Heat Exchangers,Columns,Piping Components.
- Any working knowledge in Welding and Inspection techniques.
- Any Working knowledge in Rotating equipment like pumps, compressors, turbines, Fin Fans is preferred.
