Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Main Purpose
The Senior Manager's primary responsibility is contributing to the strategic direction of the company by identifying the role that specific technologies will play in its future growth.
Responsible for the development and sound security of the network and maintaining and enhancing it in such a way that it meets current and future possible requirements .

Role & Responsibilities
• Direct and development of a security plan.
• Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and servers through ensuring that the proper security measures and standards according to best practices.
• Assesses different technology trends and platforms brought forward by staff.
• Establish clear processes and guidelines for quality assurance
• Identify opportunities and risks for the business through assessing data from different reports from the various sub departments and initiating action accordingly
• Manage research and development (R&D) by providing the tools and facilities required by the engineers.
• Maintain knowledge management by ensuring that the processes are in place to keep all documentation for any or existing solutions that the company may or may not have provided to customers in order to assist them in the future.
• Communicate the company's technology strategy to partners, management and employees when required.
• Maintain current information about technology standards and compliance regulations set by the TRA and other governing bodies through ensuring regular documentation.
• Anticipate and react to major technology changes through the network engineers by assessing various solutions provided by the team and deciding on the best solution to reach the final objective.
• Represent 2Connect to different organizations, governmental and non-governmental that is associated with the business.
• Oversee the Planning and development of technical policies SLAs, oversees the development of technical business plans,
• Direct and provide leadership to the technical department,
• Define and oversee the implementation of technical strategies for penetrating the target markets
• Accomplishes financial objectives by overseeing forecasting requirements, annual Department budget preparations; expenditure schedules provided by the sub-departments.
• Manages team by getting regular updates on the department's operational requirements

Requirements

• Identifies and voices issues that may harm the business
Experience, education & qualifications
• At least 10 years in engineering, with in an executive-level position
• Degree in Engineering/Telecoms engineering or such qualifications
• 4+ leadership experience
• 4+ year experience new product development in business-related processes

Knowledge
• Excellent knowledge of the telecoms environment
• Strong understanding of the Regulatory legislation put in place
• Demonstrated ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product roadmaps.
