Sr. Process Engineer - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Lead independently a team of Process Safety Engineers within Discipline and bearing the responsibility for the design of process safety systems including Loss prevention in major Oil and Gas Projects

Responsible for supervising technical work, co ordination for Project deliverables and ensuring quality of deliverables to meet Quality Standards and Client requirements

Review and participation of Fire Hazard Analysis, QRA (Quantitative Risk Analysis), HSEIA (Health safety and Environmental Impact Assessment), EEERA (Egress, Escape, Evaluation Risk Analysis) and other safety reviews

Responsible for preparation and supervision of HSE Plan, HSE Philosophy, Fire Fighting and Loss Prevention Philosophies, Specifications for Fire Fighting system, Fire water demand calculations and Hazardous Area Classification Schedule

Responsible for preparation and supervision of various Safety layouts such as Fire & Gas detector layouts, Escape Route Layout, etc

Participate in Safety Reviews such as HAZID and HAZOP etc and preparation of Close out reports as applicable

Interaction with Client, Vendors and Other Third Parties for the Project requirements

Review Scope of Work for Tenders and Estimation of man-hours, Cost & Work for the Bid submission.

CH2M HILL is currently looking for a Senior Process Engineer for an exciting opportunity in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Degree in Chemical Engineering (B.E / B.Tech) as minimum;

12 - 15 years of experience in Process safety/Loss Prevention and should have independently worked as Senior Process Safety Engineer for a period of 3 - 5 years with a leading Engineering Company;

Familiar with HAZID/ENVID and HAZOP Workshops, Various international Codes and Standards such as NFPA, API, IP, ANSI Z 358, GAP 2.5 and other relevant Standards;

Familiar with Dispersion and radiation calculations using ShellFRED software;

Familiarization with ADNOC Code of Practices, GASCO DGS and ADCO Standards as an added advantage;

Should have excellent communication skills essential for Client, Interdisciplinary and Vendor co ordinations;

Should possess very good presentation and Leadership skills.
