Job description / Role
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Sr. Product Development Manager will lead the staff and be accountable for the Fiber/IP Products strategies formulation and implementation in the Middle East and Africa region so as to maximize & protect the interests of the Company. The position will be responsible for achieving annual revenue and product performance targets set by the Company.
Role and Responsibilities:
• To work closely with Sales, Presales, Engineering and base on their requirements to study and formulate the Fiber and IP products development plan in the MEA region (with key focus in Africa).
• To source right partnership with carriers/cable capacity owners and establish formal engagement to expand the regional service coverage.
• To work closely with Sales, Engineering and other Product teams and prepare and submit the business case for network, cable and backhaul capacity.
• To work closely with Vendor Management and Engineering teams on optimizing the existing network/cable/backhaul capacity.
• To source right partnership with carriers/cable capacity owners to trade the necessary capacity.
• To support the Team Leader on the AOP planning.
Requirements
• A University Degree holder or equivalent in Business Administration/Finance/ Engineering / IT discipline with at least 10 years experience in telecom industry on data services.
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills
• Good product management skill.
• Results driven, self-motivated, excellent analytical problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Travel is required (preferred to station in Johannesburg South Africa)
