Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To supervise and coordinate all purchasing activities related to the Corporate, LNG and LPG Fleet Ensure the strategic and tactical purchasing activities are undertaken in a fair and transparent manner and in full compliance with Company policies and procedures.
To improve the management of 3rd party spend in terms of cost, value and overall performance.
To assist with purchasing for Nakilat JV’s and other affiliates as required.
To prevent/resolve issues and problems and to manage daily challenges in purchasing.
Confer with other Supply team members to assure compliance with State, Corporate and Departmental policies, procedures, and practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business / Commercial Studies, Business Administration or Engineering/Science discipline or equivalent is essential.
Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply “CIPS” will be given preference.
7 years of relevant experience in procurement within the Oil and Gas or Shipping Industries.
Strong level of understanding of complete Supply Chain, Procurement and Contracting and Materials Management practices and processes.
Computer literate with a general understanding of Procurement computer systems. Working knowledge of SAP is an advantage

Our fleet of vessels transport LNG produced from Qatars North Field, the worlds largest non-associated gas field with approximately 15% of the worlds total proven reserves to global markets. These vessels, ordered from Korean shipyards, incorporate the latest technology for safe, reliable and cost-effective transportation of LNG.
