The RoleThe RoleThis is a core position in finance requiring in- depth knowledge and experience of multinational treasury operations and cash management. Further, it is of cross functional nature requiring a good understating of finance, accounting as well as legal aspects of commercial transactions and agreements. The main purpose: •To lead the day to day cash management activities and monitor the treasury back office activities performed by FSSC. Perform detailed analysis in order to prepare cash forecasts; monitor and request funds from US (RMO) & for MEDC transfer the excess cash to GMETC. Ensure proper analysis /reconciliations at month end and confirm with Traders. Play a key role between A/P and A/R for accurate Cash Flow forecasting. •Credit management. Prepare dealers’ exposure analysis and reports for management & run customer’s credit analysis. Assist in ad hoc reports. Manage signatory records & online accesses with banks. •Lead balanced relationship between internal areas within MEO’s different functions, NA-IPC and Corporate Treasury Office to provide assurance on GM MEO growth objectives & to ensure adequate credit and financial security provided to GM by the dealers. Cash Management: MEDC & RMO cash flow / Minimum Working Capital Planning & Controlling •Prepare Weekly RMO’s Cash Forecast. Request funding from the US to cover weekly payments & ensure effective mgmt. •For both RMO & MEDC monitor and track payments and corresponding bank charges •Prepare MEDC Monthly Cash Flow & Variance Analysis & present it to management. •Daily Cash Mgmt: maintain daily MEDC cash forecast, work closely with ACS team to best estimate cash needs. Ensuring sufficient funds are available for payments and transfer surplus to GMETC / reconcile daily/ monthly and confirm with Traders •Maintain daily cash in & outs records and rolling average files. Report exposure to IO on monthly basis through BCMS reporting •Ensure all manual payments are as per policy - recons & control timely release of refunds •Prepare Minimum Operating Cash Analysis review with management and NYTO / assist in dividend repatriation planning •Maintain bank accesses and data up to date: signatories, Citi Access – approvals. Perform bi annual signatories, POAs validation with Citibank, CBD and Gepara. Ensure compliance with Corporate Banking Policy. Submit periodical validation to NYTO •Provide support to management in selection of Trade Finance Product & perform Cost – Benefit Analysis •Report to IO: monthly exposure, bank accounts additions, fees. Dealers Credit Management – RMO & MEDC •Perform Annual Dealer’s Credit Analysis and Evaluation: - calculate MEO’s exposure arising from sales of vehicles and parts to dealers - Request Audited Financial Statements; - run financial ratios analysis and determine creditworthiness and tier allocation as per Policy TCL511 - select payment method required - review with finance management and sales team management - review with Corporate Treasury IO - request security from dealers and provide advise/ guidance on selected security/ - work along with the dealer/ NAIPC/ DFY/ IO to validate Standby LC, LC drafts, once issued monitor renewal on timely basis - file for deviations from TCL511 in exceptional cases •On the continues basis monitor the limits and prepare deviation request when required Banks Relationship •Manage day to day banking queries/ admin requirements •Assist in managing of current Dealers Financing Facility and participate in exploring new opportunities •Perform periodic review/re-negotiation of fees and charges with the Cash Management Bank/ lead the evaluation of alternatives to minimize finance cost |
RequirementsRequirementsExperience/Education: University or college graduate with degree in finance or accounting MBA in Finance CMA/CPA preferable but not a must Min 6 years experience in Treasury / extensive knowledge of Cash Management & Trade Finance Products / Experience in Multinationals would be an advantage Skills & Knowledge: Excellent communication written and oral skills in English Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical skills to be able to interpret data. Excellent problem solving skills to gather and analyze information. Leadership Skills Good understanding of legal terms – contracts, trade finance products: Standby LCs, Commercial LC etc Competencies: Action oriented, time management, priority setting, customer focus, team player, problem solving, strong interpersonal skills required for internal and external relationships |
