Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Borouge is on the way to increase our capacity even further with a multi - billion dollar mega- project called Borouge 3. By the end of 2013 we will have added a 3rd Ethane cracker to create the largest Ethane cracker complex in the world. This new cracker will serve two polyethylene and two polypropylene  plants as well as a low density polyethylene plant. All these plants will boast the enhanced Borstar process technology and in total will drive the annual production capacity of our Ruwais operations to 4.5 million tonnes per year. A US $ 1 billion contract was awarded in early 2010 to build the next ethane cracker.
Reporting to the Department Manager, you will be part of the Operations team and will be responsible for:

* Providing comments on the drawings and P&I (Piping & Instrumentation) diagrams.
* Preparing and reviewing operation manuals
* Writing/Reviewing SOP's
* Participating in FAT testing (DCS/ESD) 
* Reviewing / Improving Precommissioning/Commissioning procedures
* Withnessing precommissioning activities leading to MC completion of the subsystems (cleaning, punching, punch point solving/clearing)
* Responsible for following up with assigned units, keeping track of progress, problems, punch lists, etc.
* Participating in commissioning activities
* Participate and work close with the vendor reps at site

Requirements

As a successful candidate you will have:

* Graduate in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* 8 years experience in commissioning and start-up in Petrochemical or in Oil/Gas Processing Industry.
* Specific operation experience in Olefins / Butene plant for a minimum period of 5 years.
* Relevant knowledge of DCS and ESD systems.
* Must have skills to manage external vendors.
* Target and result driven
* Leadership skills
* Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
* Good IT skills
* The Contract is for a 2-year duration
* Selected candidate must be available not later than July 2012
