Job description / Role
* Structural Engineer designs, plans and oversees and construction of new and existing structures' properties. He/she ensures the safety and capability of the structure to withstand the elements to which they will be exposed through components static and dynamic weight, operations of the unit and environmental conditions.
* Selecting appropriate materials, to meet design specification and ensures that the designs comply with given safety or performance criteria
* Calculating the pressures, stresses and strains that each component will experience from other parts of the structure due to component static and dynamic weight and environmental conditions
* Design/draw structural assembles, sub-assembles, welded parts and parts related to structures of standard and custom built air-conditioning as per requirement.
* Preparing reports, drawings, cutting list, specifications and computer models of structures for production and engineering team.
* Creating assembly drawings (exploded views if required) for assembly purposes.
* Analysis of structural design for optimization of materials and strength
* Involve in inspecting the work and examining structures and advising how to improve structural integrity.
* Coordinate with Product managers and design engineers to agree on safe designs and other related aspects concerning the structure.
* Monitor and inspecting work undertaken by production
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil)
* Minimum 3 years experience in the same field
* Using computers and computer aided design (CAD) technology for simulation purposes.
* Awareness in computerized methods in construction of air-conditioning equipment, as well as health, safety and legal considerations
