Job description / Role
An opportunity has arisen for the position of Purchasing and Stock Controller, responsible for the management and lead of purchasing and stock control and associated processes, ensuring effective supply and stock management service to the production process.
Role description
Purchasing responsibilities
Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), order placement, expediting, processing receipt documentation, and invoice management.
Responsible for the frequent review and updating of associated existing and new SAP domain data.
Supplier relationship management and development.
Price negotiation and control.
Support and interact with New Product Development (NPD) and Product Life Cycle Management (PLCM) processes.
Stock Management responsibilities
Stock level management, including supply control systems - e.g. Kanban, Vendor Management Inventory (VMI), call-off.
Excess and obsolete stock management.
Stock discrepancy investigation.
Managing stock takes.
Cycle counting with the support of the Operations team.
Requirements
Personal attributes:
Experienced in FMCG procurement planning systems.
Working knowledge of SAP essential. Desirable domains are MM, WM.
Proficient use of associated IT systems - particularly Excel and Business Objects.
Professional, confident approach suited to all levels of internal and external contact.
Self-motivated and capable team player.
Willingness to travel.
