The RoleThe RoleThis award winning retailer is now expanding into new Gulf regions and currently has created several new positions for key senior retail staff to support this growth and new structure. Reporting to the General Manager you will be based in Kuwait with full responsibility for leading all store sales & operations in a large format / department store environment. Job Description: • Reporting to the General Manager you will be tasked with leading your store team’s performance & general day to day management • Recruitment, training and leadership of new sales & merchandise staff • Managing performance of the store, sales against budgets, wages, expenses. KPI management. • Oversee the merchandising & store design layout and ensuring the brand integrity & consistency is maintained at all times • Coaching and staff development and keeping a high level of enthusiasm and motivation • Driving exceptional customer service experience through your team • Responsible for staff performance issues, warnings, dismissal etc in conjunction with the HR Dept • Dealing with customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner |
RequirementsRequirementsSkills Required: • Minimum of 4 years Senior Store Management experience working in large store format retail, e.g. department stores, consumer electronics, toys or homewares / furniture • You will have worked for large structured retail companies, European, Australian or US brands is strongly preferred • Strong understanding of Middle East retailing, although spoken Arabic would be preferred it is not essential • Excellent work ethic, strong leadership qualities and a focused team player are critical attributes • Strong people management, fiscal & budget preparation, good computer skills in Excel, Word are prerequisites • Ability to work in a multicultural team and appreciation of other cultures & values |
