Storekeeper

Job description / Role

Handle all activities related to receipt and issuance of materials and spare parts in QBC Contracting Division’s warehouses and stores according to company’s procedure.
Plan and organise the store yard as per established zoning
Establish coding and classification system for stock and inventory using ERP system
Maintain an accurate inventory system through proper recording of all the warehousing transactions.
Expedite the deliveries and ensure minmum ordrer quantity levels are established and maintained
Ensure materials are ready and available for site activities as and when required
Perform physical count and cyclic stock checks
Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards throughout all warehousing operations.
Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree/ Diploma in Business Administration /Commerce/ Accounting/ Economics
5 to 10 Years experience in the same position
Experience in Contracting Industry / Civil Engineering Sector
Experience in control of materials on large construction projects
GCC experience
ERP experience & Excellent documentation Skills
Additional professional qualifications will be an advantage
Excellent communication skills
