Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1. Assist head of strategic planning in developing / maintaining long term vision, mission and strategic Goals for Al Ain Zoo.
2. Provide assistance to develop the rolling strategic plan for AWPR in alignment with Abu Dhabi Government direction and guidelines.
3. Support OPM section in ensuring the alignment of departments business plan with the strategic plan.
4. Design and develop the strategic planning process for AWPR incorporating all possible best practices.
5. Gather the results of key strategic performance indicators from organization performance management section and analyse to identify area for improvements.
6. Provide necessary support for the new changes and best practices efforts lead by strategic planning & organization performance management department.
7. Work closely with Government liaison & knowledge management section to get the Government requirements and guidelines for strategic planning related activities.
8. Analyse the needs and expectation of all stakeholders
9. Work closely with relevant staff internally within the AWPR to identify business requirements needed to design and develop the strategic plan.
10. Propose a suitable strategic programs or initiatives to achieve the vision and mission of Al Ain Zoo and in line with Abu Dhabi Government 2030 vision & policy agenda.
11. Develop/propose the most suitable key strategic indicators for each strategic goal/initiative to monitor the organization progress.
12. Provide key facilitation or guidance to the sponsors/ leaders for proper implementation of strategic initiatives.
13. Coordinate for strategy related training programs or workshops with Talent Management Section of Human Resource Department.
14. Review the strategic reports along with head of strategic planning to submit the report to the ADGSEC through GL&KM section after the approval of Director of SP& OPM and Director General.
15. Review the strategic performance reports and strategic initiative progress reports to provide necessary facilitation according to the progress.

Other:
1. Assist the head of strategic planning for the day to day workload of the section to ensure the internal customer satisfaction.
2. Attend assigned meetings, committee meetings, and conferences, as required.
3. Provide expertise knowledge on various strategic planning methodologies to the strategic initiative leaders asap.
4. Serve as a professional role model.
5. Keep abreast of professional developments, new techniques, and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
6. Coordinate with other section within the Strategy Planning & Organization Performance Management Department to ensure that the department works as a team and achieves its objectives.
7. Assist the head of strategic planning section for budget preparation.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or relevant professional qualification in the area of Management.
- Good knowledge in statistics, problem solving, decision making and target setting.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the delivery of design, development and maintenance of strategic planning and performance management in a Government or semi Government entities.
- Proven experience in Strategic Planning, Performance Management and Programme Management.
