Strategy and Policy Senior Manager - Dubai

Our client, a growing government entity, is seeking a Strategy and Policy Senior Manager. Reporting to the director, the senior manager will contribute to the economic development of the client industry sectors through supporting strategic policy making initiatives that enable economic growth.

To be suitable for this role you must be fluent in Arabic.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support formulation of client industries, collect data on economic performance of these sectors from a wide range of complex data sources drawn from internal and external sources.
* Conduct research on industry and market trends and ensure that the senior management is fully informed about the implications of such research and monitoring.
* Conduct research and analysis to foresee the emerging industry verticals for Dubai.
* Conduct interviews, surveys and desk top research and provide feedback on areas for regulatory reform and policy development to enable economic growth.
* Develop presentations and reports showing conclusions drawn from analysis for a wide range of audiences, and provide them in a timely and accurate manner.
* Coach, train and develop colleagues on data analysis and presentation.
* Lead the timely planning, organising and execution of policy projects,
* Develop project plans, project cost budgets, develop and analyse evidence base, identify and appraise policy options, develop consultation papers and policy papers.
* Design and facilitate workshops, design project implementation and communication plans.
* Supervise the work of assigned consultants for specific project work-streams and provide regular feedback.
* For outsourced projects, participate in drafting RFPs, support procurement in reviewing proposals.
* Provide research, advisory and support for projects with government agencies and other Dubai organisations.
* Develop relationships with external stakeholders and consult with the business community to keep abreast of challenges and opportunities.
* Maintain on-going discussion with master developer to ensure coordination along any industry
* Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Requirements

* A Bachelors degree, preferably in business or economics.
* Minimum 7 years experience of relevant experience, preferably in a strategy consulting or policy development role.
* Proven ability to build, manage and leverage relationships.
* Excellent research and analytical skills and experience and the ability to communicate complex issues to different target audiences.
* Ability to lead and manage multiple complex policy projects simultaneously.
