Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Develop small and medium scale projects with support from Senior staff
• Ensure that drawing work is developed using Buro Happold CAD standard procedures
• Attend Office CPD sessions to maintain core skills and develop knowledge
• Commitment to achieving project deliverables
• Prepare Structural drawings in accordance with agreed QMS/Project procedures
• Liaise with Senior staff to ensure that all projects are set up and run following the standard procedures
• Ability to produce details and drawings from calculations and sketch information
• Continually improving knowledge and use of relevant CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit Structures
• Takes responsibility in providing accurate drawn information, to a high standard

Job Management:

• Understanding and awareness of the project organisation
• Understanding the deadlines of project deliverables
• Maintaining an informed position on projects
• Management of CAD document storage and retrieval systems within the project

The post holder must at all times carry out their duties with due regard to the Buro Happold Diversity Policy

Requirements

Specific Role Requirements:

Knowledge of AutoCad and Revit essential for production of project work.

The key requirements of the Technician are:

• Good secondary and development in tertiary education
• Further education in a related engineering (e.g. Diploma, HNC, HND etc)
• Good communication skills
• Demonstrates positive attitude to team working
• Computer literate in relevant Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
• Computer literate in relevant CAD related software, including AutoCAD and Revit Structures
• Demonstrates a positive approach to challenge
