Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Main Purpose of Job:
Create, direct and implement Student Affairs strategy for SUQ.
Create and maintain Student Affairs Budget.
Perform responsible professional/administrative work managing functions within Student Affairs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage activities of administration such as admissions and registration.
Provide general information to visitors, students, staff and faculty.
Perform various clerical and administrative functions to ensure that processes are timely and accurate.
Ensure that necessary student record information is available to internal and external customers.
Counsel and advise students and prospective students on such matters as admissions, financial aid, academic requirements, career development, and other campus activities.
Assist in the design, development and implementation of various program activities for the campus community.
Recommend changes in policies and procedures to improve program area.
Correspond with prospective students, applicants, University Alumni, career counselors, and others seeking information on admissions standards and academic/nonacademic programs following established procedures and precedents.
Analyze financial information submitted by applicants utilizing established federal and University standards and guideline to determine financial needs; select candidates and determine type and amount of financial aid to be awarded.
Plan and manage registration process for students; develop written material and policies and procedures.
Prepare various written material including books, pamphlets and brochures to provide program information.
Develop and maintain computer database for administrative reports and tracking, student registration, update student records, budgets, course listings and mailing lists.
Train and supervise work of subordinates, students and volunteers as assigned.
Provide work direction to student aides and hourly assistants.
Prepare and type letters for students and employees, requisitions and other correspondence.
Prepare certificates of completion and other documents assigned.
Establish and maintain appropriate files and records; audit records to assure accuracy.
Provide information and assistance to lecturers and other staff members and the public.
Confer with other academic staff to explain and formulate admission requirements and course credit policies.
Be an active member of the Admissions Committee.
Liaise with the different administrative departments in Stenden Leeuwarden for policies regarding student registration, admission requirements, creation of certificates/BBA diplomas, etc.
Accept and check payments of students. Maintain relations with Accounts Dept. with regards to the payments of tuition fees of students.
Any other task given at the discretion of the Management.

Requirements

Education & Training
Essential:
BA in Business Administration

Desirable:
MBA
OR
MBA Candidate

Experience & Achievement
Essential:
Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in a University environment.

Desirable:
Experience in Student Affairs department in University institution.

Skills, Abilities and Personal Qualities
