Super User - HIS

Job description / Role

On behalf of the most impressive Healthcare providers within the Middle East, we are looking for Super Users to be based in Qatar. These are spotlight roles that will give the successful candidates the opportunity to make a huge difference in one of the most impressive projects in Qatar.

Context of the role:
1. Super users assist end users before, during, and after conversion.
2. Super users foster a team-learning environment where end users work with colleagues to reach learning goals.
3. Super users are individuals that will be given extra learning events on the new system so that they can act as mentors and experts to all end users.
4. Super users operate as a central point for their unit for troubleshooting.
5. Super users act as coaches for end users.
Responsibilities
1. Be intimately involved with Dress Rehearsal activities to identify challenges and support the development of solutions before issues materialize.
2. Provide training and conversion support to personnel
3. Mentor colleagues in the effective and efficient use of clinical informatics resources
4. Liaise and participate where appropriate with local set up, training, benefits and communication work streams
5. Manage change activities and impacts within your area
6. Identify new policy and procedures and revise existing policies and procedures
7. Commit to and sign off all process flows on behalf of your colleagues
8. Identify new roles where these are appropriate and necessary

Requirements

Essential
- Formal qualifications in their area of healthcare or healthcare specialty
- At least 3 years of experience practicing in their area of healthcare specialty
- Experience working with Cerner Millennium or another CIS such as Epic to support their area of healthcare specialty (backed up by some record of formal training in use of the system)
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of the nature of processes and ability to clearly identify opportunities for improvement
- Recognition of when to coach and when to give instructions
- Appreciation and patience of different learning styles and familiarity with coaching strategies

Desirable
- Back end training in configuration and build of Cerner clinical information systems
- Knowledge and understanding of care solutions
- Previous experience working in Primary Healthcare Settings
- Arabic spoken is desirable
