The RoleThe RoleProcurement of Raw material,chemicals,Capital items, project items, spare parts & equipment, market research for identifying new vendors and manufacturers, checking & monitoring vendor performance, invoices certification for payments, follow up with vendors for timely deliveries of materials/equipment etc. •Procurement of all Raw materials,chemicals, packaging material and also spare parts/capital items from the best available sources with the target of getting the minimum price in a defined period of time. •Selection of suppliers & development. Review list of vendors. •Market research for finding new vendors and manufacturers and building qualified vendors data base •Verification of complete procurement (cycle) process of the assigned areas starting from requirement of material to delivery which includes but not limited: to solicitation of bids, offer evaluation, negotiation, award, delivery management, conflict resolution and payment. •Quotation analysis & Perform/Review of Technical and Priced Evaluations of Bids. •Negotiation and finalization of favourable commercial terms & conditions for materials. •Taking pro-active action based on inputs from User Dept. for reducing delivery time for parts. •Monitoring timely supply & payment. Ensure all payment certification process is done well in time. •Effectively utilizing the vendor base, resources, improving processes, and reducing costs. •Work as interface for clarification of all issues, queries related to material purchasing / services. •Reporting regularly on the status & schedule of procurement activities. •Ensured development and implementation of ISO Procedures in Procurement Department. •Developing right Procurement strategies suiting specific requirement in liaison with other departments viz. Projects, Production, Finance and Marketing. •Monitor supplier¡¦s Progress in Procurement services, manufacturing and delivery. •Evaluate Contractor¡¦s/vendor¡¦s proposals, issues,claims etc. •Resolve conflicts that may arise between Vendors and Chemanol. •Send Reports on Procurement status & suggest improvements to Materials Manager regularly. |
RequirementsRequirementsBachelor or Master degree; Possesses excellent skills in supervision, co-ordination, negotiation, etc. Good knowledgeable and minimum 8 years experience of procurement activities in petrochemical company in relevant field. SAP MM knowledge and hands on experience of SAP transactions related to purchasing is a must. Supervision skills, cost control, negotiating power, communication skills, Team Spirits, Development of Subordinates, etc. Full knowledge of materials management functions.SAP MM training and work experience for last 3-5 years. |
