Employment: Full Time

Our client is looking for an experienced and senior Supply Chain (Procurement) specialist to lead the Supplier Management function and manage supplier collaboration, from a strategic point of view. This role will report into the Procurement Director and will be responsible for steering the procurement agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and develop the Procurement Strategy in terms of performance and planning
• Manage all supplier relationships ensuring effective support is given to the relevant stakeholders and departments
• Develop and implement a supply chain strategy and supply risk management strategy for all relevant procurement activities (e.g.: sourcing/tender strategies)
• Ensure efficient and effective supplier performance management process
• Manage all Procurement requirements and activities
• Management and lead the team within this division

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree
• Must hold a relevant professional qualification and / or certification from a related professional body, e.g., Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS)
• Must have 12 – 15 years of relevant procurement experience in addition to 5 years of management experience (in a similar position)
• Strong supplier and industry knowledge of the local region (Qatar) will be an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers and other public institutions and multiple stakeholders
• Strong command of English and excellent interpersonal skills is required
