Supply Chain Advisor

Job description / Role

Supply Chain Advisor is responsible to provide expertise, advice and coaching in the enhancement of Supply Chain capabilities within the company and to support in ensuring the company's supply chain has an effective processes, mechanisms and structure to deliver the business growth strategy.

Principal Accountabilities:
1. Develop production planning, production scheduling, allocations, and the raw material call-off and transportation call-off process on site.
2. Provide expert guidance to the planning and detailed production scheduling processes
3. Review and upgrade the firms model for purchasing, inventory and warehouse operations
4. Analyze existing business processes and logic in the various functional areas within purchasing / inventory / warehouse operations through personal observation and user interaction.
5. Review and enhance management of the supply chain capabilities.
6. Review the management of all legal aspects of the supply chain
7. Focal point for the resolution of issue and problems in the activity of supply chain management improvement activities.
8. Evaluate and advise on new support systems for supply chain activities
9. Evaluate adherence to schedule and initiate corrective actions
10. Carry out customer service and cost effectiveness improvement projects as agreed with the business executive team
11. Provide guidance to improve the planning an detailed production scheduling processes

Requirements

1. Engineering BSc or BA Degree
2. Regional knowledge and experience
3. Specialist knowledge and understanding of supply chain planning
4. Strong analytical skills
5. Strong Numerical skills
6. Well-rounded commercial and economic awareness and understanding of business operations
7. Strong sense of business integrity and business ethics
8. Business communication and interpersonal skills
9. Excellent project management skills
10. Ability to work in a regulated environment with set policies and procedures
11. 10-15 years in areas of experience of detailed production planning scheduling knowledge
12. Cross functional experience
13. Sector experience on a global scale
14. International business environment
